A timing belt is a part of an internal combustion engine that synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and the camshaft(s) so that the engine’s valves open and close at the proper times during each cylinder’s intake and exhaust strokes. It’s commonly manufactured out of high quality rubber with nylon reinforced cords inside to extend the life of the belt. However, it is subject to incredible forces inside your motor and will need to be replaced at the manufacturer’s recommended intervals to avoid engine failure.
These complex systems provide accurate fuel monitoring so that when you step on the gas, the fuel injector delivers just the right amount of fuel to your engine. However, due to their complexity, these systems need periodic maintenance to ensure they run efficiently.
Defects requiring repair or replacement include: Pipe leaking, body shell distorted, affecting performance or structural integrity, corrosion, missing component(s), cracked or broken mountings or straps, rattling from inside on acceleration, leaking exhaust flanges, even clogged catalytic converters.
In its most basic form, a wheel alignment consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. A vehicle that is not properly aligned may tend to drift or pull to one side or the other, steering may be off center, or in extreme cases may cause a vibration that you’ll feel in the steering wheel. Keeping your wheels aligned will extend the life of your tires, misaligned wheels are one of the main causes of uneven wear on a tire.
